Job Description

About the Role

You are responsible for the cash office & sales floor administration of your store. You provide training & support to the store team to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent in all store stock, cash, banking and admin procedures. Supporting the in-store sales by encouraging efficiency through best practice and being responsible for all technical equipment. Together with the in-store management team, you support on the sales floor to ensure the best customer & colleague experience.

Customer Sales & Profit

  • Responsible for opening & closing procedures of all cash desks, in preparation for each day
  • Examine all cash differences and follow up with in-store staff, management, and loss prevention
  • Responsible for account reconciliation - daily verification / correction of all monetary accounts
  • Handle & ensure all money handling routines, such as money transport and ordering change money
  • Complete EOD (end of day) report
  • Responsible for all security/related routines in line with H&M guidelines

Administration

  • Responsible for the review, carry out and the correction of the hour/ payroll calculations of the employees in the store
  • Verify reduction and garment transfer routines to correct booking
  • Verify and complete damages
  • Order and ensure office and cash point supplies
  • Ensure Cash Office space is well organized, tidy and set up to best practices to ensure efficiency & good ways of working
  • Ensure the store's compliance with all cash office routines for store audit
  • Support employees concerning technical problems and follow up with IT/Business Tech
  • Ensure correct key handling and documentation of it in line with the H&M guidelines & routines
  • Work with Staff Planner in line with the H&M guidelines and routines

Team & Development

  • Responsible for training & follow up with colleagues in-store on check out & cash point procedures & store routines linked to the areas of responsibilities
  • Communicate all relevant changes of cash office, store routines & policies to store team
  • Handle all internal and security-related information, confidentially and in line with the H&M guidelines and routines
  • Responsible for onboarding, upskilling & developing your team
  • Retain and share your knowledge and skills with your team
  • Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements in relation to the Cash Office are followed
  • Participate in relevant available onboarding & introduction processes, trainings and courses relevant for your role & future development

Retail Operations

  • Supporting the store leadership team and store colleagues on the sales floor, to deliver the best OMNI customer experience, when necessary or required
  • Follow up and ensure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house including stockroom areas, check out areas, fitting rooms and garment recycling areas
  • Ensure the full garment cycle - from delivery to garment presentation - and fitting room routines are according to our standards and routines set internally, utilizing all tools and technology provided
  • Representing yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
  • Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transaction, returns and exchanges.
  • Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled in a correct way
  • Upkeep & follow best practice for any in-store OMNI Services & in-store tech services/tools, etc (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store etc)
  • Support with opening and closing of the store

  • To be a successful Cash Office Responsible, you'll be an organized, efficient, responsible decision-maker, and a flexible & reliable colleague
  • You are motivated by setting processes and routines to ensure best practise is followed in-store
  • You are a strong leader who enjoys taking responsibility for in-store routines
  • You must be an effective communicator, supportive, capable of working in an administrative and process-driven capacity.
  • Relevant experience working in a leadership or extra responsible position that you can apply to your role
  • Experience collaborating closely with/within a team
  • Experienced in/or ability with team coaching and development
