The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement:

The Project Manager for Valves has the responsibility to ensure deliveries of the projects according to plan, lead the project technical team, monitor the valve factory deliverables, procurement, testing, and material handling based on project requirements. Co-ordinating with cross functional teams globally to ensure the delivery of the project and leading the project by mitigating risks and assessing opportunities

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Ensure project formality and documentation is complete for clear project release following Hitachi Energy Policies.
  • Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks.
  • Supervision of shipment, transport of the Converter Valves from the plant to the customer and installation at the assembly site.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or master's degree in electrical or Power Industry or EPC industries project management.
  • Should have 5 - 8 years of experience.
  • Must have experience in Leading Project team and project management e
  • Must have experience in customer coordination, Cost management Risk management and schedule management
  • Knowledge & Experience MS Office: Word, Excel
  • Good to have exposure in high voltage system & financial management.
  • Good to have experience in SAP, MSP.
  • Certification in project management like PMP, Prince.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
