Mission Statement:
As the Transformer operations lead you will contribute to the execution of the Service Strategy and business growth in line with Hitachi Energy's HUB and Global organization by focusing on delivering safe, timely, high-quality, cost-effective service offerings, solutions and projects to customers. You'll drive Service achievements through effective planning and execution of transformer service projects by allocating resources in accordance with standard processes, internal procedures and integrity and safety guidelines.
Your Responsibilities:
- You must ensure service projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard procedures and in compliance with Hitachi Energy's requirements for safety, quality and operational excellence, on time delivery, customer satisfaction and project's profitability.
- You will analyze service projects requirements with the team.
- You must ensure all essential work activities are identified in sufficient detail to develop realistic and integrated project schedule for the service projects' entire scope of work.
- You will define project work aligned to the cost breakdown structure. Define, allocate and manage necessary resources for project completion.
- You will monitor project progress and analyze project critical paths. Notify execution team of any deviations or scheduling issues and provide input for optimizing resources.
- You will integrate material resource requirements with the project schedule and manage procurement activities. Issue progress reports, schedule updates, and productivity data regularly (Weekly and monthly).
- You will establish a baseline plan for cost and cash flow performance measurement and create As Sold reference points and generate Original Budget baseline.
- You must ensure profitability of the service projects in line with the order margins and reflect approved variation Orders in the revised baseline.
- You will identify and assess project risks (e.g., schedule, cost, and scope risks) and propose mitigation plans. You will analyze the impact of risk on the overall timeline and resources.
- You will participate in project reviews with the service manager and project/finance controllers. Compose reports and update all required project data in Project Controls and reporting systems. You will identify and highlight issues during project reviews that could impact the project positively or adversely.
- You must ensure deviations are properly documented, recorded, and presented in the review. Communicate potential issues early to management and request intervention if needed.
- You will work closely with the Project Controller, Service coordinator, and the service team to anticipate any potential project movements. Communicate with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure timely procurement activities. Communicate appropriate information to stakeholders especially customers in a timely manner.
- You will Build sustainable customer relationships to facilitate local client growth and customer satisfaction together with sales. Develop and maintain reliable suppliers/contractors base to facilitate the business growth.
- You will support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process. Work with the Sales team to define Planning Scenarios and drive workload data collection.
- You will work as safety is Hitachi Energy's license to operate. Ensure compliance with HSE directives by implementing both local and Hitachi's instructions and regulations within the team, including subcontractors, followed by monitoring and reporting the progress and results.
- You must ensure all Field Service team members are certified in line with Hitachi's certification requirements and local regulations. Review competence levels to ensure each Service technician and Engineer (including subcontractors) is appropriately qualified to handle jobs assigned to them. Ensure company' asset (including but not limited to test instruments, oil streamliners, vehicles) are well maintained and always calibrated.

Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering as a minimum.
- Practical knowledge of transformer service, maintenance, commissioning and repair obtained through 5+ years in similar roles.
- Advanced education (like Certified project manager) or previous work experience in project management, planning and/or operations management.
- Knowledge of Transformer digitalization, condition assessment and fleet management will be desirable.
