Task description:

Technical Tender Specialist functions as technical expert responsible for HW and 3rd party software of the proposed solution also focusing on Cyber security requirements targeting the Enterprise Software EMEA region for Network Control. This work is undertaken in close cooperation with the responsible Technical Lead and the Proposal team. To support the team all the necessary functions are provided by Enterprise Software as needed. The work involves a lot of contacts with partners, other Hitachi Energy units and the local Enterprise Software office. One of the major challenges is to put together the more complex proposals involving several parties and advanced business setups.

  • Coordinate activities to accomplish project goals and objectives,
  • Responsible either for HW or 3rd party software or Cyber Security requirements of the proposed solution,
  • Respond to the customer spec with respect to HW and 3rd party software aspects,
  • Prepare tender documentation explaining HW and 3rd party delivery and limiting the scope of work
  • Estimate HW and 3rd party software cost estimates including e.g. time for mounting, installation, and configuration of the system,
  • Identify and quantify technical and project implementation risks,
  • Responsible for implementation effort estimates, expenses, and contractors,
  • Define a competitive hardware/system solution strategy meeting the customer's requirements, in cooperation with pre-sales and Tech Lead
  • Analyze technical risks and project implementation risks.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Professional working experience from similar roles such as sales, key account management, technical lead or other roles where documented experience from offering complex systems including software, hardware and service,
  • At least 3 years of experience from relevant employment,
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy,
  • Understanding of commercial database management products, especially Oracle and SQL Sever,
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio),
  • An understanding of cyber security best practices,
  • Ability to lead and motivate internal and external teams,
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with SCADA, EMS or DMS systems or similar enterprise solutions,
  • Prior experience in a presale role, offers preparation incl. HW/SW solutions,
  • Experience with HW equipment configuration (servers, workstations, etc..) and 3rd party software integration and configuration.
