Mission statement:
Set the global Procurement & Logistics (PL) strategy in line with Company and PL Practice strategy for areas such as Indirect Materials & Services, Transport, Trade & Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management & Quality and the PL Centers. Drive the implementation of global PL initiatives and monitor performance and global PL Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Your responsibilities:
- You will develop and implement sourcing strategies for defined material groups within the service business unit to achieve availability on time, cost savings, quality, and service level objectives, lead the procurement process for defined material groups, including identify, select and develop suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.
- You will manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance with contractual terms.
- You will conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential risks, work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and project management to ensure procurement activities align with business requirements. You will drive continuous improvement initiative across the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- You will ensure compliance with Hitachi Power Grids policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, contribute to definition, implementation, and execution of global PL strategy for areas such as Indirect Materials & Services, Transport, Trade & Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management & Quality and Sustainability, determine annual global PL KPIs, align targets with other PL Practice members (Region and Division PL leaders), monitor performance, manage and develop material strategies, implement target and standard/process for the business in order to improve cost and maximize spend value.
- You will lead the development and oversee implementation of PL processes in all division, region and PL Centers, continuously benchmarks peer companies and world-class performers, lead special projects with long term global PL strategy focus on alignment with Company and PL Practice strategy.
- You will govern HE PL standard on health and safety, sustainability, business ethics, environmental regulations and Table of Authority, draft and maintain related Group PL instructions.
- You will ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed, guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both HE and the employee, manage the succession planning for lead PL positions in the Division/Business Unit/Product Group and coordinate talent management processes regionally with Divisions/Business Units/Product Groups, Regions/Countries and in the PL Centers.

Your background:
- You hold bachelor's degree or above or equivalent in Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
- More than 3 years of working experience.
- Proficiency in languages in English & Japanese, other of advantage.
