As the Global Solution Line Manager for Distribution Utility, you will lead the development and execution of a growth strategy for Hitachi Energy's portfolio within the Distribution industry segment. Your primary goal is to increase sales, margins, and market share while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with business units to develop customer-centric solutions, manage key accounts, and identify market opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs, as well as the ability to drive innovation and strategic initiatives in the Distribution industry segment. This role is crucial in ensuring that Hitachi Energy stays competitive, customer-focused, and positioned for sustainable growth in the marketplace.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive portfolio growth strategy for the Distribution industry segment, aligning with market demands and the company's overall goals.
  • Portfolio Management: Create and manage portfolio roadmap, identifying market gaps and ensuring the portfolio remains competitive and relevant to customer needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders and key customers. Gather feedback through customer sessions to refine product offerings and value propositions.
  • Solution Development: Collaborate with internal teams, including BUs and partners, to design innovative solutions that address emerging business needs and differentiate the company from competitors.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to stay ahead of industry trends. Provide strategic insights to business units and product groups to drive portfolio development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with regional teams, marketing, sales, and R&D to ensure alignment on growth plans, product launches, and market strategy execution.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company in industry forums, trade associations, and technical working groups. Promote the company's value propositions through webinars, publications, and public events.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of sales and marketing experience, ideally in the specified industry segment. Proven experience in managing strategic accounts, developing sales strategies, and executing marketing plans.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee the development of sales strategies.
  • Proven expertise in relationship building with senior decision-makers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret market data, develop actionable insights, and adapt strategies accordingly.

Required Competencies:

  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the Distribution industry segment, including market trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • A good understanding of the overall power utility industry would be of advantage in particular for Digital applications
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with short-term operational execution.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Proven success in building customer-focused sales strategies and delivering results based on customer needs.
  • English proficiency is mandatory, with knowledge of any other language considered a plus.
  • Ability to lead diverse and internation teams as well as interaction with Customers with a good cultural awareness
