Mission Statement:

Technology, Application and Engineering lead for project and tendering activities for all Operating unit market offerings. Consults with and influences customers, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders on the application, innovation and benefits of the company's technology offering. Ensures that appropriate technology and application thereof in all engineering disciplines and ensures that all engineering discipline activities within tendering and operations team are implemented, in accordance with standard solution offerings, contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your Responsibility:

  • You will provide specialist technology and/or industry knowledge to build credibility and in-fluence with clients. Provides solution configuration expertise and identify opportunities for customers to derive value from the use of the company's products and technology. Defines/Contributes to the determination of technology, delivery model and statement of works for tenders and projects. Liaises at senior technical level, consults within the business and process engineering solutions to meet customer needs.
  • You will act as a technology authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines. Ensures that engineering solutions are developed with complete information. evaluates, selects and adapts products techniques, procedures and criteria. Works with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovation with the customer to drive and deliver improvements. Attend projects meetings and presents all technical aspects of projects assignments. Contribute to the implementation project both as SME and solution configuration specialist through the project phases.
  • You must ensure that engineering is developed with complete information and that all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development. Leads development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges. Drives completion of all engineering activities on the project.
  • You will act as a design authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines. May act as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completes engineering assignments for that discipline. Coordinates design with consortium partners.
  • You will provide technical support to Project Managers.
  • You will collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors. Provides technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.
  • You will support and assist with transfer of technology and knowledge between PE, PC and EMob Global Centers of Competence and regional HUB internal partners and Operating Units. Support the GPG in creating and contributing to implementation toolkits., build and maintain GPG relationships, and contribute to local, regional and global GTM for solutioning /advisory
  • You will Interfaces/Collaborates with business/customers/partners to understand and document the scope and requirements. Defines/Documents solution details and describes how these solutions will meet customer needs and interact with other systems. Provides technical support and guidance to the sales/presales and tendering team for offer preparation. Provides support for sales and project execution and RFI/RFP responses and guidance. Coordinates overall engineering risk analysis with all partners before submitting proposal.
  • You will work with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and seeking innovative solutions with the customer to drive and deliver improvements. Attends project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments. Interacts with officials, contractors, suppliers and others. Establish and maintain effective relationships and network with customers, market participants and other stakeholders.
  • You will evaluate risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of one's engineering projects/programs. Supports the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments, and implementation of resulting actions. Identifies opportunities for repeating and new businesses
  • You must oversee the creation of subcontracts technical specifications and manages the subcontractors jointly with other involved disciplines, including supply chain management.
  • You will review and develops standard processes, tools and techniques related to technology applications. Ensures that offered technology solutions comply with required safety regulations, applicable regulatory and industry standards and contractual requirements.
  • You must expand one's network of engineering and technology colleagues within Hitachi Energy and externally. Gathers and shares best practice across different projects and disciplines. Provides technical advice to senior management, especially in unique or highly complex proposal opportunities. Represents the organization in communications, conferences and peak industry bodies pertaining to broad aspects of engineering and technology assignments.
  • You will support, guides and advises team members on technology and engineering aspects and applications (both in-house and outsourced) on all projects. Interfaces and coordinates single or multi-discipline engineering teams with 15 - 50 resources. Assists with development and coaching of the Engineering team and colleagues, supports with technical advice and guidance.

Your Background:

  • Engineering Degree (Bachelor)with appropriate experience in High Voltage industry.
  • 15yrs. experience in High Voltage Utility/Renewables sector or similar related industry.
  • Registered or eligible for CPENG and RPEQ.
  • Skills - Proficient with MS Word, Excel.
