The opportunity
HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power grids, e.g., between countries.
Are you looking for a stimulating and challenging job at the forefront of technology in a fast-growing market and organisation? We are looking for a senior project manager for production investments and production development projects.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and monitoring all work related to the project. The role is organized in the production development department in the manufacturing organization with cross-functional collaboration within the business unit. Depending on project size, you manage 1-3 projects simultaneously.

How you'll make an impact
- Initiate, plan, execute, and oversee multiple high-impact production investment and development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including sponsors and steering committees, to facilitate effective communication and project buy-in.
- Keeping track of the project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to organizational processes while driving continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of learning and development within project teams, sharing best practices and lessons learned to enhance overall project delivery.
- Lead the resolution of complex challenges related to factory layouts, production flows, and manufacturing processes, utilizing analytical skills and innovative thinking.
Your background
- For you to thrive in this position it is meriting if you hold a bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline or work experience seen as equivalent. You also have demonstrated strong problem solution skills.
- As a person you are customer focused, result oriented, driven and a good team player.
- You enjoy a fast-moving environment, with the ability to create your own working structure to deliver stringent results.
- Years of experience working in projects, preferably within the industry sector and in a leading position.
- Considered as meriting: experience from production engineering and LEAN principles, experience in Microsoft Project, experience of project management / working as a team member in project form.
- Fluent in both Swedish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration in diverse teams.
