General Information:
Work schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Start date: Preferably June 2024.
Internship duration: 3 - 4 months
Mode of work: In person / Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanism refurbishment activities (control mechanisms of circuit breakers) including but not limited to:
- Disassembly, cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of certain components, mechanical and electrical testing, drafting of refurbishment reports.
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of other high-voltage switchgear equipment.
- Any other task as required.

Qualifications:
- Vocational diploma in electromechanics or equivalent.
- 1 year experience in activities related to industrial mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic fluids, electricity; industrial mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly.
- Experience in the use of manual crimping tools ("crimper"), electric drills and screwdrivers, vernier calipers
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
- Ability to assemble components using assembly drawings and component lists.
- A background check will be required prior to hiring.
Assets:
- Diploma - Electrical Technician or Electrician
- Permit for Use of Overhead Crane
- Permit for use of forklift
Work Conditions:
- Workplace: Clean, air-conditioned production floor.
- Required clothing: Safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by Hitachi Energy).
- No possibility of remote work.
- Experience in small-format electronics will not be considered.
