Within the High Voltage Products Business Unit (BU), the Technology Center (TC) North America is responsible for developing and optimizing high voltage equipment for electrical substations. Reporting to the TC Manager North America, you will lead a talented team focused on creating future high voltage Dead-Tank Breakers and Hybrid Switchgear using sustainable technologies and innovative ideas. You will identify and implement technology and product development strategies to enhance global positioning.
Your responsibilities:
• Organize and supervise team activities, balancing workloads to achieve quality and timely objectives, and assigning tasks to stimulate learning.
• Ensure R&D projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Contribute to Global Product Support activities as needed.

• Plan resources, competences, and tools for team activities in collaboration with the TC Manager. Develop the team by identifying growth paths, hiring new members, and implementing growth strategies to foster innovation and enhance R&D capabilities for profitability.
• Set goals and objectives for team members, ensuring policies and procedures are followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
• Prioritize HSE in all team activities, from design to prototyping and testing. Promote and support a strong HSE culture.
• Manage monthly accounting for the team, reviewing and approving hours charged by team members, and supporting WP Leaders in periodic reports.
• Identify potential Intellectual Property (IP) risks and manage them using appropriate processes and tools, involving upper management and IP attorneys when necessary.
Your background:
• Master's or Doctor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in design and technical project management roles on high voltage circuit breakers or similar products.
• People management experience in technology, engineering, or research is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in working in multi-national organizations.
• Sound knowledge of R&D activities and project management.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
