As a R&D Team Manager in HVDC R&D Control & Protection System Solutions, you will be part of the Technology & Solutions Development (Business R&D) organization in HVDC, Hitachi Energy, Ludvika, Sweden.

At HVDC R&D Control and Protection System Solutions, we work extensively with Real-Time Hardware-In Loop innovation and development. The cutting-edge solutions developed in this team are the building blocks for commercial HVDC projects, enhancing the HVDC Control and Protection System offering by Hitachi Energy.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for a Research and Development (R&D) team, manage planning, execution activities and resources.
  • Ensure quality, cost, timeliness of deliverables and stakeholders satisfaction.
  • Ensure cross-function, cross technology line/business collaboration e.g. product management, portfolio management etc.
  • People management, promote sustainable competence and talent development.
  • Create inspiring team's vision connected with organization's vision & strategy, promote innovation spirit and operation excellence.
  • Living Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • You have Master's degree and strong technical background within power system or software development, preferably in HVDC, FACTS etc.
  • Passion for people and technology. You are smart collaborator, strong in decision making, and have right inner drive to deliver in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in R&D and in people management are preferable.
  • Proficiency in English is a requirement as you will be part of a company that operates on the global arena.
