At Hitachi Energy we are on a journey to address the digital landscape for the HVDC and Power Quality domain. Right now, we are in a phase where we are expanding the team, and we need a new R&D manager to support this journey. You will be working with a highly skilled team and your task is to support the team to achieve their potential as well as solving impediments, define and establish processes etc. We are working in an agile environment, and you will be supporting this "small scaled SAFe" by supporting the teams as an RTE or similar.
You will work in the HVDC TS&D team. For the Digital R&D we work in a lean agile project model with a local team in Sweden together with the global team with members in Poland, Switzerland, India and North Macedonia. You will support the execution model with your experience as a leader to solve impediments and facilitate the coordination of the teams.

Your responsibilities
- Responsibility of technology team, manage planning, execution of research and development (R&D) activities and resources. Support the team with facilitating role (RTE) or similar.
- Ensure quality, cost, timeliness of deliverables and stakeholders satisfaction.
- Ensure cross-function, cross tech. line/business collaboration e.g. product management, portfolio management etc.
- People management, promote sustainable competence and talent development.
- Create inspiring team's vision connected with organization's vision & strategy, promote innovation spirit and operation excellence.

Your background
- Master's or Bachelor's degree, strong technical background within SW Development. Preferably in combination with power system or software development, preferably in HVDC, FACTS etc.
- Knowledge of Digital analytics will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of DevOps organizations
- You have passion for people and technology, you are smart collaborator, strong in decision making, and have inner drive to deliver in a dynamic environment.
- Prior experience in R&D, people management are preferable.
- Proficiency in English is a requirement.
