The Opportunity
Join our innovative team at Hitachi Energy as an R&D Structural and Acoustic Engineer.
As a new RD Structural and Acoustic Engineer, you will join our Global Multi-Physic Simulation (GLOMUS) network team in the Technology Center of HITACHI-Energy. You will be part of a group with specific expertise in mechanical design and support innovative and challenging projects.
As part of our global R&D community, including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will contribute to supporting factories in the PG Dry, Traction, and Distribution Transformers with your design skills.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Perform finite element simulations on structures subjected to various static and dynamic loads (e.g., fatigue, impulsive, short-circuit, seismic)
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and optimize new and existing products
- Create new automations for structural, thermomechanical, and acoustic assessments
- Conduct feasibility studies, develop technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their performance
- Engage in prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and products
- Contribute to product and technology development projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Facilitate the transfer of technology and knowledge to the engineering department through design rules, training, and collaboration with the design tools team
- Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business
