The Opportunity
Network Control are now seeking a R&D Software Developer to our development team in Västerås. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coding but also good at interpreting requirements and understanding what our clients need. You need to be able to both implement and maintain functionality in the product but also be able to understand how it is used by the clients. You work in close collaboration with other developers, product owners, architects and testers. In this role you will be developing the power grids of the future, creating software that is used in crucial infrastructure and real time. The product is designed to have a long life while also being very efficient and secure. Are you a software development enthusiast? How you'll make an impact
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as end users, projects, testers and product owners to understand requirements.
- Implement new functionality according to requirements, standards and guidelines.
- Correct existing code and understand how your code can affect other areas.
- Review other developers code and give constructive feedback.
- Review test scenarios to assure system and functions meet with requirements.
- Run test scenarios and system tests to ensure quality before release.
- Support and assist others in your team when needed.
- Work with continuous improvement and be part of improving the processes to ensure a good product.
Your Background
- You hold a university degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Good knowledge in C#, Azure DevOps, git
- Knowledge in C/C++, Windows and Linux is an advantage
- Good understanding of database models.
- Quality awareness and highly committed to keeping deadlines
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.
- Familiar with necessary considerations when it comes to creating software with quality.
- Experience from working with unit tests and test automation is an advantage.
- Experienced to work with different agile methods and recognize roles, rules and best-practices.
