Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore.
IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries.
In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.

As a R&D IP Analyst - HVDC IDC, your will be working closely with Strategic IP counsel, Technology managers, IP attorneys and assist them in their IP needs.

Your Responsibilities:
- Perform Patentability search for the invention disclosures submitted by the R&D teams
- Conduct state-of-the art searches for various R&D projects
- Perform technology landscape for the desired technology
- Perform Freedom-to-operate analysis, Invalidity searches
- Conduct continuous monitoring activities like setting up search alerts, IP newsletters for various technologies of business unit PGGI
- Work closely with Strategic IP counsel, Technology managers, IP attorneys and assist them in their IP needs
- Provide Invention counselling to the inventors
- Provide periodic IP updates to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct IP orientation programs to new researchers on need basis

Your Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering in EEE / ECE / CSE / E&I
- 2-3 years of experience in patent search and analytics
- Prior working knowledge in search tools like DWPI / Patsnap & IEEE
- Familiar with IP management tool like Anaqua
- Prior working knowledge in technologies like HVDC, FACTS, Electric vehicle, electrical substation is a plus
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
