The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. Mission Statement:

  • Knowledge on mechanical requirements of power quality-based products and competent in relevant testing standards (IEEE, IEC, ASCE, etc.,) evaluating testing data and perform necessary changes in design.
  • Seismic & Wind study, CFD analysis. SolidWorks, AutoCAD tools.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for mechanical design and optimization (Concept to implementation) of Power Quality products.
  • Work with cross functional teams for extended design role for simulation requirements. Define FEM analysis requirements for thermal and structural analysis (CFD, Vibration, Seismic etc.,)
  • Able to interpret simulation data and provide valuable solutions or further optimizations.
  • Responsible for evaluating/selecting standard components like, fans, filters, gaskets, locks, etc., to meet the product requirements.
  • Test / Verify the final product as per international codes at reputed test labs for IP, IK, vibration, drop test, etc., And analyze the results.
  • Interfaces with vendors for prototype development.
  • Ensure the manufacturing feasibility (DFM/A), and maintenance requirements of designs.
  • Responsible for creation of assembly line work instructions and support product documentations.
  • Review / validate manufacturing drawings and collaborate with cross-functional teams for review, approval and release.
  • Participate actively in Idea generation and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • As a part of the job, shall effectively interact and coordinate with Product owners, Supply Chain Suppliers & Engineering teams located globally.
  • Analyze simple FEA problems of force & thermal using creo simulate/hand calculations.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • 4-6 years' experience working with power quality-based products. Mechanical design fundamentals including proficiency/hands on experience of designing with Creo for Sheet metal Large assembly management 3d modeling and detail drafting along with DFM.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management processes and tools (preferably Windchill).
  • Knowledge about various phases of product realization / product development.
  • Knowledge on mechanical requirements of enclosures and competent in relevant testing standards (IEEE, IEC, ASCE, etc.,) evaluating testing data and perform necessary changes in design.
  • Knowledge on Sheetmetal enclosure designs, IP ratings, welding symbols, Manufacturing/fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge on Engineering Change Management Process. Good understanding of sheet metal material selection, dimensioning & tolerance. Fluent English (written and spoken) Strategic thinking, good communication skills & willing to travel.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required .
