Project Technical Engineering Experienced Professional

The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact. We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

• You will be doing front Engineering and technical engineering for ongoing VSC-HVDC project in Japan.
• You will be doing front Engineering and technical support for Classic type HVDC systems previously delivered by Hitachi ltd.
• You will involve in technical support projects in resolving the issues related to control and protection, main circuit apparatus, system engineering and auxiliary system.
• You will manage the communication with the customer, sub-suppliers, sub-contractors and partners on technical matters.
• You will plan, execute and control the interface with the procurement processes.
• You will coordinate with different stakeholders across the business units to ensure smooth completion of the project deliverables.

• You hold university degree in Engineering, or a degree deemed to be equivalent.
• Good exposure on experience in substation application, experience in substation application.
• Must have basic knowledge on IEEE / IEC standards, Japanese standard (JEC, JIS etc.) knowledge is preferable.
• Must be able to create document used with MS Word, Excel, Power point.
• Sales and Tendering experience are highly desirable. Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken.

• Working hours: 900-1730 (1hr break). Flex time is applicable.
