Mission Statement:

As a role of Project Manager for HVDC Control & Protection system delivery, you will join an aspiring team that works with the HVDC Power transmission links. It is a diverse and independent job to lead the project group, with lots of responsibility and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills within HVDC. HVDC C&P department is responsible for delivering Control & Protection, SCADA packages to project of HVDC System. The key responsibilities include project management, time schedule monitoring, budget monitoring, risk and opportunities, logistics & material management, coordination with SCM & documentation team, factory system testing execution, coordination with site team for C&P material installation & commissioning, handover to service team, coordinating with internal & external stakeholders to able to deliver the complete solution to end client.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Execute the HVDC C&P scope of delivery within an HVDC project (budget, time, scope and quality)
  • Arrange the project organization based on the project needs and competences of the resources assigned to the project.
  • Allocate the responsibilities to leads and distribute work among them, clarifying responsibilities and expectations.
  • Monitor and reports progress of project deliverables and perform continuous follow-up on project scope, time, budget and quality.
  • Drive customer interactions, discussions and negotiations over the C&P scope of delivery.
  • Coordinate & communicate clearly to all internal & external stakeholders within C&P scope of project objectives, the milestones, the time schedule.
  • Identify and report risks, deviations with suggested mitigating actions & execute the Factory system test as per the project contract delivery.
  • Follow the internal quality process & assurance and customer standards.
  • Coordinate with SCM procurement to secure the project materials, coordinate with logistics team for the material movement.
  • Ensure the customer quality document ITP, ITR, ITI in place & material availability and initiate the procurement based future forecast.
  • Analyzing & report the opportunities towards the project delivery.
  • Coordinate the project team to execute the project by giving directions and instructions, clarifying questions, escalating support requests, and mediating discussions with customers.
  • Taking Initiative in project management execution process optimizations, standardization, improvement, etc.
  • Coordinate with factory system test lead for the verification & validation progress to complete as per the deadline.
  • Logistics coordination materials inwards / outwards to FST.
  • Ensure the safety procedure in place for the C&P delivery related design & FST execution, site.
  • Closely interacting with project team and support the team for smooth execution of FST.
  • Participate in the internal audits as per the business process., coordinate the material packing & unpacking with packing team.
  • Monitor & track the hardware & software defects in the quality improvement tool.
  • Follow up the design changes and ensure the implementation.
  • Coordinate the stage gate internal witness to prove the system stability and readiness & coordinate the customs witness program and facilities to complete.
  • Follow up the customer witness report and close out the project delivery.
  • Coordinate the C&P scope of system installation & commissioning with site team.
  • Responsible for ensuring cooperation between C&P and Field Operations and other involved departments during commissioning.
  • Responsible for follow up of the C&P system commissioning progress, punch list closure, spare parts hand over, as built documentation completion.
  • Handover to service team to take care of warranty period with the necessary details of back up files and reports.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent with a minimum work experience of 10-15+ years in Control & Protection project lead or project management in full scope delivery.
  • Should have knowledge in AC Control & Protection schemes, relay testing, testing protocols.
  • Must have knowledge in Testing using Omicron secondary injection test kit.
  • Must have knowledge in Power System fundamentals, Relay module & cards, Interface part, Testing method, Safety Standards, Industrial product knowledge.
  • HVDC knowledge and experience is advantage.
  • Exposure / Basic Knowledge in International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards.
  • Basic knowledge on software handling, simulation tools etc
  • Good knowledge of Office tools like word, excel, ppt .
  • Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
