• Creates the engineering order and ensures an accurate completion of the generated parts list.
• Prepares designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production order Bill of Materials
• Ensures production has complete instructions to fulfill the engineering order.
• Communicates the completion and any changes to the production order to the production team.
• Create and modify electrical/mechanical drawing changes and engraving template changes per the MTO/Engineering order.
• Create a cost-effective engineered product per the sales order requirements. Eliminate nonvalue-added costs from the engineering order parts lists.
• Deliver rapid order execution to Emergency order expectations.
• Prepare specification of parts kits to support new service offerings.
• Take ownership of an assigned Engineering order.
• Build your own knowledge base of multiple products of the Service Portfolio.
• Establishes and maintains product knowledge to develop Engineering Product Specialist status.
• Support other departments with technical inquiries.
• Prepare SOP technical Instructions to provide portfolio assembly instructions and support engineering functions.
• Drive improvement processes that positively affect the Engineering process.
• Participate in meetings with the sales team to accurately prepare engineering order execution.
• Weekly follow-up of assigned open engineering orders.
• Collaborate with Production and Sales Manager to create New Customer offerings.
• Support SAP with the loading of part numbers and the creation of SAP BOM's.
• Provides support to the other engineers and provides training to the engineering team on area of expertise.
• Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
• Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
