We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controller Manager to join our team in Sweden. In this role, you will act as a business partner to the Project Directors for various projects as well as you will lead and support your project controlling teams, fostering effective business decisions through monitoring, controlling, analyzing, and interpreting financial data.

You will also drive high levels of financial performance by keeping the team motivated and engaged, especially in the growing HVDC business sector. You will need to anticipate changes and deliver on targets, ensuring the team adapts and thrives in a dynamic environment. Navigating and managing cross-country cultural differences to ensure smooth project execution and collaboration is also essential.

This position is based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.

How you'll make an impact

  • Oversee preparation of financial portion of project review, ensuring alignment with the overall project financial plan.
  • Use planning techniques to maintain oversight of all activities, ensuring project financial metrics align with the project schedule.
  • Evaluate financial implications of various decisions, recommend suitable actions, and support the team in identifying risks and initiating risk mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate regular project reviews, monitoring ongoing project's cost control status, cash flow, revenues, profit, gross margin, opportunities, and potential cost variances.
  • Ensure support of local project controllers/analysts to Global/Large project controllers, and support and develop the team of project controllers and project analysts, managing the workload among available resources.

Your background

  • Relevant industry experience in the similar or equivalent industry with several years of project controlling and/or business controlling background.
  • Strong financial knowledge with academic financial degree.
  • Your experience has provided you with strong leadership and management skills with ability to inspire your team and execute changes.
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken is mandatory, Swedish knowledge is considered meriting.
  • Preferably you have experience working in a global environment and are used to work with teams of different cultures.
  • You contribute with your positive and proactive mindset, as well as with your ability to create a good atmosphere while keeping the team motivated and engaged to deliver high level performance.
