The opportunity
We are now looking for a Production Support Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa. In this role you will be optimizing our production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.

How you'll make an impact
- You will identify and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
- You will be developing production material flow (logistics), production tools and work cells, structures and parts lists of transformers, and work instructions.
- You will provide support to Production during the process start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
- You will be working effectively and pro-actively with different internal and external stakeholders, such as management, production workers, procurement, engineering and subcontractors.
Your background
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in SAP
- Knowledge of 3D design is an asset
- Strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skill
- Initiative and an independent approach to work
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
