HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power grids, e.g., between countries

As a Production Quality Engineer Specialist, you will be a part of a team that has a passion for continuous improvements and quality assurance. We care and take responsibility in driving the quality to the next level with LEAN Six Sigma principles embedded in our work. The scope of the team is HVDC Valve Assembly in all production units, therefore you will get the opportunity to work together with our other factories in India and China.

Your responsibilities:
- Your main responsibility is quality assurance/quality control in HVDC Valve Assembly
- Ensure the implementation of effective internal quality controls during production to verify that processes and products will meet customer and stakeholder requirements
- Be a part in develop and selecting tools for inspections (fixtures, measuring devices)
- Develop and implement quality improvements and Lessons Learned
- Lead Failure Investigation when needed, manage cross-functional teams
- Analyze quality data and drive actions
- Perform MSA and PFMEA
- Be part in implementing new products and production processes
Your background:
- You hold a university degree in engineering and/or have some years of work experience within quality assurance in manufacturing. Experience from quality assurance for electronics is a plus.
- Good knowledge in quality assurance, quality standards and measurement technology.
- Background experience within SAP4HANA, MES-Systems, APQP, Lean and experience from using PDCA or similar methodology is preferred.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Good knowledge in Office, non-conformity management tools and statistical software.
