We are now looking for a Production Line Manager at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa.

Your main responsibility is to ensure a safe working environment and efficient production results that meet our quality targets. In this role you will concentrate in factory loading, panning, scheduling and resourcing. You will be leading production to meet planning, scheduling and execution targets in ETO (engineering to order) environment. You will be setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
How you'll make an impact
- Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources
- Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations
- Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while further developing safety culture. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety
- Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates.
Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc.in industrial engineering or related field
- Leadership experience in manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of science of manufacturing and operations development (ETO environment)
- Strong focus in Lean development and passion for continuous improvement
- Initiative and an independent approach to work
- A process-oriented mindset and ability to grasp the bigger picture
- Good problem-solving skills
- Group and supervisory skills and a constructive interaction style
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
- Experience in modern ERP systems
