Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects with more senior consultants to plan and conduct energy consulting studies.
- Design and develop computer models for simulation of power systems and conduct independent studies and research encompassing advanced analytical techniques.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations supporting the findings of the above studies.
- Participate in customer meetings and interface with customers on technical matters.
- Serve as technical consultant and advisor for clients.
- Identify areas of business and process improvement needs, propose practical solutions, and assist with implementation of project plans and decisions.

Your Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with concentration in Electrical Power / Energy Systems with a minimum of 3 years of experience in performing power system studies in the transmission, distribution or industrial space, or Master's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in performing power system studies in the transmission, distribution or industrial space, or PhD; Master's or PhD in a related discipline.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- This role can be filled at the more junior level should the candidate meet the following criteria with the opportunity for future growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with concentration in Electrical Power / Energy Systems with a minimum 1 years of experience in performing power system studies in the transmission, distribution or industrial space or Master's degree and less than 1 year of experience in performing power system studies in the transmission, distribution or industrial space.
- Experience in more than one power system simulation software such as: PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB, DSATools, ETAP, CYME, SKM or ASPEN required.
- Experience (coursework or professional) with programming, AI/ML in addition to power system analysis shall be preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in transmission planning and operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system analysis, including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, short circuit, transfer limits, and electromagnetic transients preferred.
- Experience with renewables and energy storage studies, electric vehicle charging or artificial intelligence/machine learning application to power systems preferred.
