The Power Electronics team has being established in Krakow in 2021, as part of this team, you will be working in a small, cross-functional team of highly skilled engineers consisting of Power Electronics, Control Engineers, HW Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. You will develop a new breakthrough modular converter platform based on wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g. SiC) for a range of grid and DC applications. You are expected to push the technology boundaries in terms of efficiency, size and operational performance. If you are ready for the challenge, then join us.
Reporting to Miroslaw Zurowski R&D Manager supported by Agnieszka Wojtysiak Technology Manager GI T&SD Krakow and by Adam Ruszczyk Senior Principal R&D Engineer you will cooperate with global R&D teams, in case of technical questions you will get direct support from Simon Round Corporate Executive Engineer - Power Electronics & Digital. A creative environment allows you to utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and product development to identify and implement innovative solutions for a new Product Platform.
Your responsibility
- Analysis and selection of all power converter components (semiconductors, passive, protection, digital, analog and EMI components, connectors etc) to optimize cost, reliability, and performance.
- Analyze and document the SOA, lifetime, and component stress
- Production of all Bills of Materials
- Work closely with reliability engineer to ensure selected components will meet reliability and lifetime requirements under expected mission profiles.
- Research alternative suppliers for electronic components: evaluating potential suppliers and assessing the quality and reliability of their parts.
- Create databases to evaluate suppliers and parts.
- Responsible for ensuring that components meet quality standards: perform tests, inspections, and evaluations to verify compliance.
- Manage the lifecycle of components, from initial selection to end-of-life considerations.
Your background
- A degree in electrical/electronic engineering. A focus in power electronics engineering is a plus.
- Understanding of Component Parameters: this includes knowledge of component properties, specifications, and performance characteristics.
- Work experience as an electronics engineer or in a similar engineering role.
- Exposure to component engineering tasks, such as component selection, sourcing, and lifecycle management.
