The opportunity:
Lead the Operations function at local level, with full accountability of running the day-to-day Operation and to overachieve customer expectations through lean, faultless operation execution (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.
How do you make impact:
- You will be Responsible to implement and sponsor for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/SA) and all other business compliance standards and regulations of the LPG/LBU/Factory. Accountable to ensure a safe work environment and continuous improvement in HSE processes and integrity performance.
- You will be accountable that all functions are properly organized, staffed and directed. Accountable to build an effective, capable and high-performing organization. Responsible to develop talent, review organizational effectiveness, performing competence assessments and continuous skill-upgrades across the LPG/LBU/Factory.
- You will be responsible to execute a customer-focused Operations strategy for the LGB/LBU/Factory, derived from the overall business and functional strategy develop for the BU/Hub. Accountable for its relentless execution. You will be accountable for a sustainable and effective E2E value-chain for the LPG/LBU/Factory, from Customer to Supplier and from Order to Delivery (Products, Project & Service). Accountable for the effective deployment of the respective Procurement & Logistics strategy for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Responsible for project execution from order to service. Responsible to establish and run an effective S&OP process for the LPG/LBU/Factory, accountable for its results.
- You will own and is accountable to deliver LPG/LBU/Factory-level RELEX KPIs in line with expectations. Accountable to deliver 4C targets for Operations: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity. As applicable: deploys and manages Integrated Project Management system for Project Execution. Responsible for on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project EBIT and cash.
- You will be accountable for the effective deployment of Hitachi Energy's Quality Strategy for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Responsible for Quality Assurance, Quality Control and for the implementation of an integrated quality management system for the LPG/LBU/Factory.
- You will be responsible to champion a culture of Lean Six Sigma and continuous Improvement across the organization. Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of business process and procedures, and of the overall customer satisfaction for the LPG/LBU/Factory.
- You will be responsible to ensure master data excellence for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Responsible to deploy BU/Hub manufacturing technology and engineering process standards for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Responsible to establish governance mechanism to drive and ensure compliance for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Adjust Engineering and Manufacturing resources with optimize use of Global Operating centers - as applicable.
- You will be accountable to deliver COGS savings and all other financial performance KPIs for the LPG/LBU/Factory. Accountable to define and deliver the annual budgets for the Capex and OpEx expenses. Accountable to prepare transfer price. Accountable to effectively balance installed - LPG/LBU/Factory capacity with customer-demand and workload.
- You will be accountable to ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies and procedures related to Operations/Project execution. In alignment with the respective Group, Divisional, BU and Hub policies, responsible to introduce LPG/LBU/Factory-wide standards and guidelines, standardized processes, and KPIs. Accountable for operational risk management, validates and improves reliability and effectiveness of business operations.

Your background:
- University degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 8year relevant experience in electrical manufacturing area of which 3 years in managerial positions.
- Experience in managing through sub-managers -Experience in shop floor is essential.
- Exposure to multicultural working environment.
- Strong leadership skills with team-oriented attitude in safety & integrity, quality & customer focus, ownership & performance, collaboration & trust.
- Good planning and organization skills, typically accountable for budget and policy recommendations and medium-term planning.
- Able to work under pressure and Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and able to communicate with different levels in organization.
- Fluent in English.
