How you'll make an impact
- You will explore the cutting edge reinforcement learning algorithms, methodologies, and tools, concentrating on approaches that are likely to enhance the speed of RL training on GPU systems.
- You will explore the key elements of FACTS power electronic converter control, learning how to efficiently parallelize certain components for improved speed and pinpointing the computational challenges that could hinder performance.
- Overseeing the programming and development setup essential for the thesis project, which encompasses a Python environment, a MATLAB environment, and a JAX/Triton/CUDA environment.
- Investigate the existing code, enhance it, and create a speedy prototype of a reinforcement learning environment optimized for GPU execution.

Your background
- Pursuing a master of science degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, or computer science at a swedish university or through a partnership with one.
- Proficient in python with a solid background in deep learning concepts.
- Knowledge of RL, MATLAB, JAX, CUDA, Triton, Isaac Sim, power systems, state space models, and control methodologies is considered a valuable asset.
- You have a genuine interest in RL and programming.
