General Information:
This position will be responsible to supervise a group of maintenance technician employees engaged in various maintenance activities related to distribution transformer manufacturing. Key duties are to schedule maintenance activities including labor allocation and day-to-day coordination. Leads work group to ensuring they work safely, maintain production equipment, meet department goals, and other maintenance related assignments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Directs, maintains and enforces the safety Company program for the maintenance department, reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians.
- Ensure safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Oversees work performed by outside contractors.
- Keeps related records, charts and analyses of their implications.
- Aids in troubleshooting problems with machinery and equipment.
- Trains, directs, develops and supervises employees.
- Aids in identifying repetitive equipment failures and determining root causes.
- Tracks analyses and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance.
- Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Departments.
- Participates in capital expenditure budgeting process, expense budgets, manpower planning and schedules.
- Involved in managing inventory of critical parts, tools, and consumable resources essential to the operation of production equipment.
- People leadership and development ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
- Understand organization's KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and work to meet goals.
- Resolve problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Use excellent people skills, coaching skills, management skills, and communication skills to accomplish daily deliverables.
- Provide clear direction to the work group; set priorities as needed and in proactive manner; escalate issue when needed and build support for issue resolution.

Your Background:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Previous direct supervisory or similar leadership experience
- Prior knowledge and/or experience advising high performance work groups and experience with implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement systems.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated performance in the areas of leadership, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Able to work all shifts and periodic weekend work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Bachelor's or Associates degree
