At Hitachi Energy, the IT Innovation and Technology team enables Hitachi Energy business goals by leveraging emerging information technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Autonomous Mobile Robots and by connecting the dots between business and technology. As a Technology and Startups Scouting Intern, you will support the discovery and evaluation of new technologies and startups, participate in market and vendors research, and contribute in promoting innovation internally through digital materials and face-to-face meetings.

Your responsibilities

Innovation Intelligence:

• Participate in proactive research on new technologies, solutions, tools, and information technology trends that can benefit Hitachi Energy.
• Assist in the co-creation of the Innovation Intelligence process, gaining hands-on experience in shaping innovation strategies.

• Perform market research and identify new technology vendors that can bring value to our business.
• Engage in building partnerships for workshops, pilots, and validation of innovative solutions, learning the intricacies of vendor relations.

• Contribute to promoting innovations internally through digital materials and events.
• Participate in face-to-face meetings between business and IT, enhancing your communication and presentation skills.

• Discover innovative startups and create opportunities for collaboration.
• Identify needs and use cases within Hitachi Energy to leverage startup potential for business value, understanding the startup ecosystem and its impact on large corporations.

• You are a student willing to learn new technologies: You are a university student in Poland, available for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with a strong focus on learning more about new technologies.
• Passion for Information Technology (IT) and Emerging Technologies: You have a keen interest in artificial intelligence, extended reality, autonomous mobile robots, and the latest information tech trends.
• Interest in Startup-Corporate Dynamics: You are willing to uncover and understand the interplay between startups and large corporations.
• Patience and Persistence in Research: You have a hunger to deeply understand a topic, driving your thorough scouting research without limiting yourself to a superficial approach.
• Good Communicator and Listener: You like talking with people, and have the ability to openly ask questions that allow for better information processing and lead to valuable insights.
