The Opportunity
Working within the Europe Integrity team, you will manage and support the organization in Spain and Portugal as Integrity Compliance Officer and support the Region Head of Integrity - Europe with managing Global and European Integrity projects in Europe.
Reporting to the Region Head of Integrity Europe. Position located in our HQ office in Madrid (Spain).
How you will make an impact
- Implement the Hitachi Energy Group Integrity Program locally and develop, review, and support additional local integrity programs under the direction of the Head of Integrity Europe.
- Support Country management and Local Business Units in all integrity matters, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy values, the Group Code of Ethics & Business Conduct, and applicable Group policies and instructions.
- Communicate timely updates on new or revised Integrity Group policies and instructions to Local Business Units and employees.
- Assist in negotiating frame agreements, contracts, partnerships, and other contractual terms from an integrity perspective.
- Be responsible for compliance with local integrity and criminal compliance regulations.
- Review, advise and, if necessary, approve the requirements of the different HE stakeholders in terms of integrity and ensure their compliance.
- Advice, processing and management of integrity certifications.

Approve and maintain records in various applications in line with relevant Integrity Group policies and instructions.
Your background
- Degree in Law or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience as a compliance/integrity professional in top-tier law firms or industrial companies.
- Experience managing significant components of a compliance or audit program for an international organization.
- Hands-on compliance professional with energy and engagement in day-to-day work.
- In-depth understanding of anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance programs, including the FCPA, global anti-corruption laws.
- Familiarity with global compliance practices in industrial businesses, such as antitrust and data privacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Spanish and English. Portuguese would be considered as a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player with cultural awareness and curiosity, willing to collaborate with other functions and members of the global Integrity team.
- Absolute integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to communicate the importance of these values and influence to all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to explore new compliance management tools and technologies, including leveraging data analytics to enhance compliance effectiveness.
