The Opportunity:
Join our team as a Hub Heavy Lift Sourcing Specialist, where you will be responsible for transport budgeting for heavy lift projects.
You will manage end-to-end sourcing activities, from tender launch to contract execution, ensuring all processes align with company guidelines and category strategies.
This role requires close communication with local heavy lift specialists in factories and service suppliers. To excel, you need strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of project logistics, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
How you'll make an impact:
- Manage Sourcing related activities for Heavy Lift Projects related inquiries (budgetary or firm) requested by Hub Power factories, using HITACHI ENERGY's standard procurement tools.
- Oversee the entire tendering process, including involvement in budgetary offers from factories, RFQ process, analysis, and negotiation during the quotation phase.
- Evaluate technical and commercial proposals from transport service providers for both budgetary and firm phases.
- Award heavy lift spend at the firm phase, ensuring all contracts are adapted to local business needs and maximizing operational and financial performance while minimizing risk.
- Negotiate price agreements and terms & conditions for heavy lift or project transportation.
- Ensure all heavy lift projects have a clear and agreed transport project budget with the factory, tracking budgets and delivering cost savings for managed projects, and reporting these savings to the factories.
- Provide feedback on logistics service providers (LSPs) regarding sourcing, contractual commitments, and deviations in transport projects.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with heavy lift transport specialists in the factories, ensuring all costs align with negotiated tariffs and agreements at the Hub or global level.

Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or logistics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project logistics with mandatory experience in heavy lift transportation.
- Familiarity with heavy lift transport cost structures and terms and conditions within the transport industry in an international context (such as Incoterms, surcharges, weight/volume conversion factors, etc.)
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible solutions
- Language skills: negotiation level of business English both written oral is a must.
