Head of Security and Crisis Coordinator Americas
Hitachi Energy's global security strategy: Coaches, supports and provides specialist knowledge and advice to regional leadership on security matters and report on the performances of the respective organization. Contributes to the delivery of the security function's plans, development of policies and ensure effective risk management through excellence.
Organizational governance: Leads and coordinates implementation of competent functional country support throughout the region. Provides point of contact and communicates with relevant stakeholders in security matters related to the assigned region and constituent countries.
Key metrics: Collects, analyzes, and reports on performance to global and other relevant stakeholders, utilizing global security key performance indicators (KPIs).

Compliance: Oversees and leads process of tracking, assessing, and reporting on emerging security trends and related legislation. Ensures through inspections, audits and reviews respective geographical area of responsibility is compliant with security standards, regulations, and guidelines. Maintains internal and 3rd party SRA requirements for respective security organization.
Risk management: Contributes to effective risk management of security related issues in the assigned region by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions for Hitachi Energy.
Continuous improvement: Contributes to driving behavioral change to continuously improve security performance through coordinated global-wide performance improvement programs and initiatives. Facilitates the sharing of best practices and applies global standardized processes to deliver consistent security support within Hitachi Energy.
Communication and engagement: Engage external (e.g., customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi Energy's security efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperates with other functions and business partners to improve security measures.
Budget: Participates in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.
Operational support: Defines regional security annual plans and ensures implementation of security and crisis management objectives within the respective region in alignment with Hitachi Energy global security strategy. Provides short-, mid- and long-term security analyses on the developments within the region. Oversees serious security incidents and ensures root-cause analysis and corrective actions are identified and implemented. Maintains and supports an effective level of crisis resilience in the respective organization/region by supporting the overall organizational resilience model of Hitachi Energy and coordinating as needed an effective response.
Project management: Supports, contributes to and/or plans and executes security related projects in support of stakeholders. Develops and reports on project objectives. Manages project resources such as people power, financials, and other relevant factors.
Global program management: Manages, supports, contributes to and/or plans and executes security related requirements in Hitachi Energy's core global security programs. Develops and reports on core program objectives. Manages core program resources such as people power, financials, and other relevant factors.
People leadership and development: Ensures that the area of responsibility is appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, and develops direct/indirect subordinates within Hitachi Energy policies and Leadership 360 initiatives.
Regional organizational resilience: Act as the regional coordinator for the Organization Resilience program. Provides governance, training and guidance in emergency response and business continuity. Act as the regional crisis coordinator by providing foundation for, and guide on, a structured and unified incident command management of large-scale disruptive events impacting on people and business operations. Regional crisis management is aligned with the global head of crisis management and the global crisis management program. The regional crisis coordinator supports the regional crisis management team leader prior to disruptive events by establishing and train regional- and country crisis management teams in the region; during disruptive events act as regional crisis coordinator supporting the crisis management team with the crisis management process. Support global crisis response by acting as single point of contact and providing data to the global head of crisis management
