We are looking for an engaging and driven person to lead the Global Product Area and Management team for HVDC Control & Protection Hardware & Electrical Design who wants to grow together with their team and the company. In this role you will lead a team of HVDC Control & Protection Hardware Design Team Managers, leading teams supplying cubicle designs for HVDC projects across the globe.
You will report to Global Engineering Manager HVDC Control & Protection and be a part of the HVDC Control & Protection management team.

Your responsibilities
- Be a positive role model for your team and beyond by living Hitachi Energy's Leadership Pillars as a leader which means living our vision, working together, delivering promises, and developing people.
- Manage the overall Hardware management team within HVDC Control & Protection. Drive, together with your management team, continuous improvements, find relevant KPIs, identify efficiency gains and working methods within teams to ensure methodical and predictable progress and progress reporting of HVDC Control & Protection Hardware deliveries.
- Globally adapting and implementing HVDC Control & Protection strategic initiatives to fit your team, in order to achieve business alignment.
- Plan team and area composition, individual development and competences needed in order to meet business needs, in alignment with internal stakeholders and customers.
- In order to ensure quality output, you will take global ownership of developing and documenting the work processes and monitor process adherence within HVDC Control & Protection Hardware.
- Responsibility for reporting progress, team activities and potential risks to Global Manager HVDC Control & Protection and Project Engineering Managers.
Your background
- You have a strong interest and preferably documented experience in management techniques, developing teams and individuals in order to unlock their potential or a documented background in project management, preferably within HVDC Control & Protection Hardware design or HVDC deliveries.
- As a person you have a passion for people and technology, you are strong in decision making and have the right inner drive and self-management skills to take on full responsibility for your global scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
- You are communicative, engaged and can handle the busy digital landscape of today, comfortable utilizing Teams and O365 suit to efficiently communicate with your team and beyond.
- You have an open, curious, and problem-solving mindset which means you enjoy improving, or replacing, existing processes, work methods and tools if you deem them needed.
- You understand deadlines, budgetary constraints and have a strong sense of responsibility and you are comfortable with making decisions for your team if needed.
- HVDC Control & Protection background, Hardware design or HVDC delivery knowledge will be advantageous.
- Proficiency and fluency in English are required since you will be part of an international setting where you have a global responsibility and will need to communicate with people from all over the world.
- Swedish skills would be advantageous.
