Enterprise Architecture Team, within the Platform & Application Division, is a group of area experts and professionals who evaluate projects according to technical, governance, and compliance requirements.

To extend expertise in the team, we are looking for:

Global Enterprise Architect for Manufacturing and Engineering.

This role gives the opportunity to collaborate with different businesses across the Hitachi organization, be a part of a complex transition from the current distributed IT architecture landscape to a centrally managed IT architecture landscape, and lead the development of IT policies and standards that drive business success. This is a unique opportunity to be in charge of building IT solutions that help build our green energy future.

You will make an impact by:

  • Developing directly or indirectly the enterprise architect IT policies, standards, and guidelines that steer the selection, development, implementation, and use of IT application solutions and IT technologies within the Hitachi Energy business.
  • Supervising and facilitating the evaluation and selection of appropriate IT applications, IT technologies, and IT solutions.
  • Supervising or consulting on IT solution architecture implementation and modification activities, particularly for new and/or core/common IT application solutions.
  • Challenging the IT architecture and IT service landscape regarding content and process and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining a roadmap of initiatives within the domain of responsibility.

Your background:

  • Education & experience: Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering, or similar, with 10+ years of IT experience within the relevant IT domain.
  • Process & tools evaluation experience: Deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IT technologies, evaluating IT solutions and making recommendations, translating business requirements into IT capabilities and solutions.
  • People management: Superior experience in leading IT people who do not report directly, identifying and resolving issues between team members or other teams.
  • Project management: Excellent experience in project planning and execution as well as the economic aspects of system management and life cycle.
  • Corporate environment experience: Above 5 years of experience working in a non-native country and culture.
  • Language skills: Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Domain-specific skills and knowledge: Systems Thinking: Understanding the complex relationships between various components of IT infrastructure and business processes.;Architectural Frameworks: Understanding of frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF to design and implement effective enterprise architectures;Digital Technologies: Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), AI, ML, data analytics, and automation; Cybersecurity: Ensuring the security of manufacturing systems and data; Cloud Computing: Leveraging cloud technologies for scalable and flexible IT solutions
  • Business Skills: Strategic Thinking: Aligning IT strategy with business goals to drive digital transformation; Business Acumen: Understanding manufacturing processes, production workflows, and financial management; Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT and business processes;
  • Soft Skills: Communication: Effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; Collaboration: Working closely with various teams, including IT, operations, and management; Leadership: Guiding teams through complex project initiations and transformations.
  • Continuous Learning: Innovation: Staying updated with emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation,Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to changing business and technological landscapes.
