Hitachi Energy is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution we are currently recruiting a Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) & Installation Commissioning (I&C) Managerto work with our High Voltage Business Unit.High Voltage is responsible for the worldwide after-sales support of gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits, and replacements. Within this role you'll co-ordinate site activities in advance with the Project Managers and GIS Technical Advisors including lookahead of activities and meetings, whilst coordinating with Hitachi Energy Project Managers on establishing status of completed and non-completed work.

Your responsibilities:
- You will be supporting the installation work entrusted to them being carried out in perfect technical order and carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and Instructions and ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed; specifically abiding by the guidelines for work on live system components.
- You will be responsible in red-marking drawings or documents with any changes or modification that be came necessary during the installation.
- Advising the sub-suppliers installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the work force necessary to comply with the schedule.
- Issuing of non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within scope of supply in cooperation with Project Manager.
- You will be supervising final installation tests and installation completion documentation. Supervising and coordinating the loop check activities and participating at site meetings as requested by Project Manager.
- Employee shall also carry out any tasks that are assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements.
Background:
- Bachelor degree within Engineering or similar.
- Proven Gas Insulated Switchgear and installation and commissioning Product knowledge.
- Strong Health and Safety awareness on and off site.
- Experience in team management skills leading a multi-disciplined team.
- Providing mentoring and support to members of the team where required.
- Able to be in Stone (Staffordshire) at least 2x a week.
