Mission Statement:
Performs general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to solve unusual issues in a complete, accurate and timely manner as well as prepare statutory accounts and facilitating audit processes/liaising with auditors and other assigned tasks while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and external regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibility:
- You will perform general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to solve unusual issues. Provide limited advice on accounting matters based on well-established principles and practices.
- You should prepare statutory accounts and facilitate audit processes/liaising with auditors.
- You will review & manage all aspects of leases and lease accounting including process on lease creation.
- You should work closely with CSS HUB and oversee FA process, ABACUS vs SAP vs statutory account reconciliation.
- You should oversee the month end close process for relevant product groups (PGs) including account reconciliation, preparation of various journal entries, and review of monthly financial accounts of these PGs. Book monthly entries as necessary based on supporting documentation.
- You should apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions including treasury transactions. Book monthly treasury entries as necessary based on supporting documentation.
- You should execute accounting analyses and reports as assigned and perform analysis of accounts and highlight discrepancies/anomalies for correction. Serve as escalation point for such accounting discrepancies/anomalies. Conduct investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary.
- You should oversee and work with CSS Hub for Balance Sheet reconciliation
- You should assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures and continuously optimize to gain efficiency and drive productivity gains.
- You should participate in internal control testing and prepare relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, controls and systems.
- You should prepare payroll tax and assist with some tax work as required

Your Background:
- Minimum bachelor's degree; CPA/CA ideal.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel; accounting software, SAP (preferable S4 HANA).
- Minimum 5 years post qualification accounting/finance in a large complex corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes.
- a 'can-do' attitude and a team-focused approach.
- Willing to take ownership with forward-thinking ability to work under pressure and with deadlines.
