Mission Statement:
EQM Product Line Power Transformers Hub APMEA: Successful candidate will be responsible for being in-charge of Transformers engineering quality management in Hub APMEA Product Line - Power Transformers reporting directly to the Hub APMEA Power Transformers Engineering Manager and Functionally to PL PT Quality Manager. In addition to the managerial duties, the Hub APMEA Engineering Quality Manager will participate actively in the definition and execution of the improvements in engineering quality together within engineering function in Hub APMEA and other Hubs including GPG, BU and other functions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage design control mechanisms, such as design check points, design reviews within engineering and with other parties like operation and customer (evaluate design input, processes and design output).
- Guide implementation of specific actions from PL PT X-Matrix and PL PT Engineering strategy.
- Manage process of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) for both training and practical application, need to identify critical to Quality engineering deliverables, enhance the review culture, processes and methods.
- Develop and improve design processes to increase design quality.
- Assist PL engineering managers to improve engineering quality through engineering KPIs. Ensure engineering quality KPIs are updated, tracked, analyzed and actioned.
- Collaborate with PL PT factory engineering managers to implement Master Action Plan related to Engineering arising from RCAs, Top Quality Issues, Global Technology Alerts, Supplier technical alerts.
- Ensure Engineering function of PL PT delivers with high quality, on time and on budget meeting the success criteria specification.
- Drive Design Anywhere and Produce Anywhere process changes related to quality.
- Manage Engineering X-Matrix related to quality projects.
- Responsible for internal and external audits to engineering department.
- Organize monthly design mistake sharing and knowledge management.
- Ensure appropriate quality competencies are developed and available in PL PT engineering according to current and future market requirements.
- Collaborate with PL PT engineering expert team for design review of complex projects defined by EoC (Envelope of Confidence).

Your Background
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering.
- Previous experience in power transformer industry minimum 15 years. Experience in other functions such as quality, testing minimum 5 years.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams across multiple sites with good leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal customers at all organizational levels.
- Previous experience in design reviews preferably with global transformer factories and customers.
- Previous experience in factory and field test failure and root cause analysis.
- Previous experience in lean six sigma methodologies, design and simulation tools.
- Knowledge and Experience in Industry organizations as IEEE, IEC, ISO, CIGRE, ASTM.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
