Mission Statement:

Lead for the assigned spend a short term and medium-term compliant, resilient and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, reliability of supplies and supply performance. Lead contracts and service level agreement negotiations in line with factory and HUBs expectations in order to deliver price, lead time and Terms and Conditions information and control its usage in local ERP systems. Define and mandate the Supply Quality and Development team on Supplier Management activities. Lead Collaboration with Factories/GPG/HUBs stakeholders to support bidding, design to value (DtV) and R&D activities. Ensure implementation of a compliant and sustainable sourcing strategy at Hub level to support business in relation to Emerging Market Sourcing activities from China

Your responsibilities:

  • You will analyze Targeted spend, analyze Market Dynamics and Price developments for Chines Markets. You will Compare spend cost development vs market development on Total cost of ownership base.
  • You will be carrying out EM sourcing activities with defined targets with BU/HUB category Managers for Targeted products. Lead the scouting, initial maturity assessment for new Potential EM suppliers (China). Lead, in cooperation with EM Supplier Quality Engineer the qualification process for New EM suppliers (China). Lead all negotiations with EM suppliers in India in accordance to set Targets by BU/Hub Category Managers
  • You will align and deliver on the targets for KPIs for the BU spend with focus on cost, quality and timely delivery.
  • You will regularly report on financial performance and supply performance. Regularly propose new EM sourcing opportunity to various HUBs/ Category teams
  • You will promote emerging market sourcing activities where it brings additional value. Mandate Supply Quality & Development team in their undertaking for supplier issue resolution/hot topics.
  • You will execute and sustain the strategic sourcing activities, run risk mitigation actions in order to meet current and future business requirements and securing availability, supply base performance and optimum total cost of ownership. You will lead in coordination with respected Hub/Category teams claim settlement (if any) with EM Suppliers.
  • You will manage/Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable. Manage/Lead spend negotiation for selected suppliers. Allocate volume.
  • You will improve on tender and project material costing. Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable. Promote cost breakdown analysis, should costing and run regular benchmarks. Cost structure analysis for main EM category, to identify the cost competitive category & negotiation.
  • You will oversee the supplier relationship with regular review contract execution, supply performance, improvement activities and future. For suppliers in the Hub assign supplier account owner for the majority of the spend.
  • You will lead supplier qualification for the ones in scope, perform risk assessment. Plan and assign audits to Supply Quality & Development Engineer. Based on performance data, evaluate, define and monitor improvement measures for selected suppliers. Organize or ask for resources accordingly.
  • You will do assessment the development potential of supplier with EM SQE for cost, technical, and quality. Act as resolution owner on escalated topics as mapped in escalation matrix. Identify and address performance hot spots and escalate adequately with corrective and preventive measures. Manage claims in order to maximize compensation to HAPJ. Research and scouting of new supplier with other function (i.e. SQ, Engineering)
  • You will work closely with other function to Initiate, promote and support projects and bring value on total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, quality, cash, lead time, material availability. Implementation of material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects, preferably using Dynamic Evolution methodology. Assessment the development potential of supplier with EM SQE for cost, technical, and quality.
  • You will apply and implements SCM standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility
  • You must ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized. A good sense of teamwork, honesty, responsibility and a strong proactive approach to task. Like identify & collect the needs of Hubs.

Your background:

  • You hold bachelor's degree or above.
  • 3+years of relevant experience.
  • A good sense of teamwork, honesty, responsibility and a strong proactive approach to task like identify & collect the needs of Hubs.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within China and fluency in English both written and spoken.
