Electrical Project Engineer

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our North America Grid Integration Business Unit in Raleigh, NC. This is an exciting time to join our team as we experience tremendous growth in EV charging systems, high voltage direct current projects, power consulting, power quality solutions, and more. As part of the Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS) team, you will work with Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology, enabling power system owners to increase capacity and improve electrical stability with minimal environmental impact. How You'll Make an Impact

• Ensure engineering is developed with complete multidisciplinary information.
• Lead the development of new solutions for complex projects.
• Drive the completion of all engineering activities on projects.
• Coordinate the electrical engineering discipline across several projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Create work plans and cost estimates, ensuring quality deliverables.
• Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain.
• Design and execute projects in line with customer specifications and standards.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• BS/M.Sc./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
• Preferred knowledge of FACTS or HV transmission substation solutions.
• Experience in Control and Protection panel design is a plus.
• Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the US.
