Join Our Team!
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer based in Milano. You will be part of the Business Unit Grid Integration, which is specialized mainly in electrical substations and power quality solutions. You will be responsible for completing assignments on complex projects cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  • Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Manage the project documentation within one's scope of deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).
  • Support Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.).
  • Provide quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
  • Create work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.
  • Complete risk and opportunity assessments and ensure implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility.
  • Report any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist customers on technical issues, interact with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.
  • Assist communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers.
  • Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.
  • Use standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Report processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.
  • Ability to have 360 degrees understanding of project, with aptitude to be proactive on technical discussion and suggestion, improvement proposal, problems mitigations.
  • Lead the team on technical aspect of activities.

Your background:

  • Bachelor/master's degree in electrical Engineering.
  • Fluent in English & Italian.
  • Proven experience of 5 years in GIS (Gas insulated switchgear) and/or AIS (air insulated switchgear) and/or power plants project engineering in EPC business.
  • Able to work with different and multiple stakeholders, proven expertise in coordination of projects and people.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude with good decision-making skills.
