Digital Technical Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

Milan, Italy / Remote

As part of Europe an Regional Digital Team you will adapt and support rolling out the Global Transformer Digital Strategy deployment and digital portfolio in the region.

You will develop and implement regional Digital sales strategy aligned with global strategy to increase customer penetration through engagement with Front End and Transformers Sales Teams, distribution channel and through promotion of service offerings.
Furthermore you will support Digital Technical Team in problem-solving process at Digital projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Deploy & support Digital GPG TCS's digital strategy in EUC HUB
  • Facilitate implementation of digital tools in EUC HUB
  • Collaborate & train EUC HUB Digital Team on digital products
  • Provide Level 2 technical support for digital products
  • Deliver technical training on the digital portfolio
  • Provide programming and configuration support for our digital products to our EU Manufacturing sites and customers
  • Assist HUB Digital Application Engineer with customer proposals
  • Collaborate with Digital Technical Teams for knowledge sharing
  • Report improvement opportunities & user feedback
  • Promote knowledge sharing of the Transformers Digital portfolio

Your background

  • Technical Expertise: Fluent in technical English (electronics/transformers/electrical)
  • Problem-Solving & Initiative: Proactive with a strong ability to identify and address technical challenges
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment. Able to train and coordinate with colleagues
  • Strong Electrical Background: Deep understanding of electrical control schematics and existing transformer monitoring systems (DGA, bushing monitoring, etc.)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a technical department (Digital or Control Design)
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer and PLC programming (experience a plus)
  • Transformer Knowledge: Medium level knowledge of transformer types, characteristics, components, behavior, diagnostics, and common problems (IEC 60076-7 preferred, IEEE C57.91 valuable)
  • On-Site Experience: Prior experience with on-site commissioning is valuable
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication in English to effectively collaborate with colleagues across the EUC HUB region
