Mission Statement:

Within the Hitachi Energy Data Governance & Data Management Team, the Data Governance Specialist for SAP MDG serves as an enabler and solution provider for all data objects in SAP MDG and other data topics from both guidance and governance perspectives.

This role encompasses techno-functional responsibilities in SAP Master Data Governance, providing expertise in end-to-end SAP MDG configurations and setups for Business Partner, Finance, and soon, Material data.

As a Data Governance Specialist for SAP MDG, the role holder is the go-to solution for all master data topics, been able to reproduce issues faced by users and help resolve them, recommend various capabilities, functionalities, and technologies to stakeholders based on new requirements, and provide regular technical support to the business team, including support for related project deliverables.

Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to facilitate cross-business stakeholder exchanges, understand business requirements, and recommend the best SAP MDG solutions. Coordination and structured skills across businesses and functions are crucial for managing application management services for MDG.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Process Design & Configuration: Design and configure processes for SAP MDG. Assist with testing and requirements gathering. Manage the end-to-end change implementation process until production movement.
  • Solution Recommendations: Make solution recommendations considering scope and client requirements.
  • Incident Coordination: Coordinate SAP MDG incidents via Service NOW.
  • Functional Specifications: Prepare functional specifications and ensure quality delivery. Validate deliverables from both internal and external implementors.
  • Documentation: Create configuration and training documents.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities in complex, multi-vendor computing environments.
  • Integration Testing: Create an integration test plan for MDG and data.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in SAP Master Data Governance.
  • Talented and initiative-taking individual with a solid record in tactical data work, data services management, and autonomous workload management.
  • Effective communication skills, initiative-taking and self-motivated, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP MDG 9.X and the latest version changes.
  • Participation in at least 2 MDG projects.
  • Proficiency in ABAP.
  • Expertise in implementing SAP MDG solutions for Business Partner, Finance, and Material.
  • Experience in configuring rule-based workflows, consolidation, and data quality management.
  • Ability to integrate business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP Master Data Governance.
  • Expert knowledge in activating and configuring MDG modules and components.
  • Experience in configuring CVI.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues related to interfaces.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP logistics (SAP modules SD or MM), especially master data.
  • Preferably, experience with S/4 HANA data migration, MuleSoft, and SAP Cloud integrations.
  • Expertise in data model enhancement, data transfer (DIF/DEF), data replication framework (DRF), and business rules framework plus (BRFplus).
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
