Are you ready to join a global team dedicated to ensuring trade compliance and optimizing trade-related business operations? Hitachi Energy is looking for a passionate and experienced Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) to join our team in Sweden. The Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) is responsible for leading, managing and implementing the Hitachi Energy Global Trade Program (GTP) and custom operations at country level.
The Country Trade Compliance Officer (CTCO) reports to the Country Trade Compliance Manager Nordics.
How you'll make an impact
- Drive and coordinate the country level implementation of the GTM, focus on custom operations (import & exports), keeping with the strategy to centralize trade-related tasks.
- Ensure trade compliance and efficient trade at country level in coordination with the Country Trade Compliance Manager Nordics and Country Trade Compliance Officer, export control in Sweden, follow up and implement global trade management trade policies and procedures, on country-level; where local laws or regulations require having a country specific or dedicated trade policy.
- Support Business Units in relation to trade-related issues such as, customs compliance, etc.
- In cooperation with the Business Units, analyze trade flows and customs duty spend to look for duty savings opportunities.
- Provide the Business Units with guidance and improvement suggestions in relation to custom issues.
- Regularly update the Business Units, the Country Trade Compliance Manager Nordics, the Regional Trade Manager, Europe and the Head of Trade Compliance & Security on (potential) risk areas and custom issues.
- Provide the Business Units and other stakeholders with trade- and custom-related trainings.
- Consult the Country Trade Compliance Manager Nordics in case of questions on trade compliance and escalate trade compliance issues to the Regional Trade Manager in Europe if necessary.
- Supporting use of global trade-related tools (such as SAP GTS custom module) and automation.
- Supporting internal and external trade audits (e.g. custom or tax authority).

Your Background
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in trade, economics, international relations or other trade related field.
- We see that you have 5+ years of experience in customs trade rules as customs value, origin, preferential origin, customs classification and customs procedure etc.
- Knowledge of SAP Master Data, SAP GTS or additional S4/HANA is highly appreciated.
- Specialist knowledge of EU trade regulations or customs law.
- Knowledge of EU and other sanctions is for a benefit.
- Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English languages.
