How you'll make an impact

  • Coordinate projects with senior consultants to plan and conduct energy consulting studies.
  • Design and develop computer models for power system simulations.
  • Conduct independent studies and research using advanced analytical techniques.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations.
  • Participate in customer meetings and interface on technical matters.
  • Serve as a technical consultant and advisor for clients.
  • Identify business and process improvement needs, propose solutions, and assist with implementation.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Power/Energy Systems and 3 years of experience in power system studies, or Master's degree and 1 year of experience, or PhD.
  • Experience with power system simulation software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB, DSATools, ETAP, CYME, SKM, or ASPEN.
  • Coursework or professional experience with programming, AI/ML, and power system analysis preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in transmission planning or operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system analysis, including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, short circuit, transfer limits, or electromagnetic transients preferred.
  • Experience with renewables, energy storage studies, electric vehicle charging, or AI/ML applications to power systems preferred.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
