Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units-Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement:

In this role, you'll be in charge of the management of system delivery projects in FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) technology, including technical and commercial responsibilities

Your Responsibilities:

  • Hold the overall responsibility for the management of assigned multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Work together with other Hitachi Energy Power Grids units, either as a consortium or main supplier, that you will represent.
  • Coordinate with stake holders both internal and external to Hitachi Energy Organization
  • Take initiatives and very often critical decisions that will affect the deliveries of your projects.
  • Manage, both strategically and operationally, the appropriate use of technical and human resources.
  • Use your negotiation skills to finalize the terms that would benefit your projects.
  • Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Your Background:

  • A Masters/ Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Candidate should have minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in managing HVDC / FACTS / Substation projects with a value of 50 MUSD or higher.
  • Hitachi Energy Project Management Certification or a PMP certification
  • Good knowledge of Design Engineering Standards in Electrical Power Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated technical attitude and a passion for quality.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
