In this newly created role, as Associate HR Business Partner, you will support the UK/IE Grid Integration HR Business Partner in providing a comprehensive Human Resources Service, covering the full range of Human Resource related issues across the Grid Integration Team across UK and Ireland, as well as leading and supporting HR initiatives which support the HR Calendar.
You will support five unique business lines or "product groups", across projects, service and consulting. This an exciting opportunity for a developing HR professional who places value on collaboration, knowledge sharing, appreciates transparency and can maximize opportunities for growth and improvement.
You will be working with both local and global managers to advise all aspects of Hitachi Energy's policies and procedures. This will include the interpretation of terms and conditions of employment, current employment legislation and codes of practice, ensuring that good employment practices are maintained, and legal obligations upheld.
Your Background
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
- Knowledge of local Labour market, legislations and policies within UK/IE.
- Excellent command of English language is a must, both written and spoken.
- Negotiation skills with good capability to achieve understanding to influence others, Capability to prioritize work tasks, communicate clearly and anchor with stakeholders
- You are flexible, persistent and have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate well with others in a high-paced environment
- Organisational and co-ordination skills with the ability to prioritise and manage peaks in workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with Hitachi Energy employees in a professional manner, both in person and via telephone, and a strong focus on managing customer relationships.
- Good analytical skills and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous experience with Workday is advantageous
Your Responsibilities
- Proactively support & suggest management on HR topics while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the business; provide coaching and support to management around key people management activities (e.g., performance management, employee relations, talent management, learning and development, hiring and recruitment)
- Supports the HRBP and Managers in the implementation of all HR processes including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and other processes as applicable
- Work with both operational and strategic tasks with focus on culture, people and organization
- Ensure strong labour-and key stakeholder relationships
- Understands business needs and provides support and suggestions when applying HR policies and processes. This to achieve long-term objectives, ensure that we are compliant with HR and labour law regulations and to add most value to business within required areas
