As the Pharmacy Licensing Specialist, you will oversee the licensing of Hims’ pharmacies. You have a proven track record for effectiveness as an operator-leader with a deep knowledge of licensing and regulatory affairs. The Pharmacy Licensing Specialist must be agile, have strong communication skills, and successfully collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on-time licensing requirements.

The Pharmacy Licensing Specialist is responsible for organizing and completing initial and renewal applications for Hims’ pharmacies in coordination with the Manager, Pharmacy Licensing & Continued Education. They will also be responsible for the initial and renewal filings for pharmacy business licenses, foreign qualifications, trademark names, etc. with the relevant secretaries of state or other governmental departments.

You Will:

  • Full ownership of pharmacy licensing, including compounding licenses
  • Drive licensing initiatives, including 50 states and D.C.
  • Obtain and maintain current and future pharmacy licenses
  • Maintain an understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and licensing requirements to ensure compliance
  • Manage various licenses, permits, and regulatory documents which will require meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors or oversights
  • Represent our pharmacies as the point of contact for licensing and regulatory communications, such as with the Boards of Pharmacy
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key regulatory and accreditation stakeholders, functioning as one of Hims’ regulatory ambassadors
  • As pharmacy regulations change over time, adapt to new requirements and stay updated on industry changes
  • Collaborate with pharmacy management, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and resolve issues effectively
  • Reviewing expiration dates of various credentialing documents and planning for the completion of renewals
  • Establishing and maintaining an orderly process of preparation, review, and completion for filings, which may include the collation of attached supplemental documents, acquiring signatures and notarizations, and the capture of payment details
  • Corresponding with State Boards of Pharmacy licensing staff in a tactful, concise, and professional manner
  • Coordinating with other Teams to obtain materials for filings (e.g., checks from Accounts Payable, Dispensing Reports from Operations)
  • Routine review of all licensing-related expiration schedules and preparation of renewal applications in a timely and accurate manner

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 plus years experience as licensed pharmacy technician
  • 3 plus years experience in pharmacy licensing preferred
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented & highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on-time results
  • Business proficiency in speaking, presenting, and writing
  • Ability to use analytics and make data-based decisions

Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H’s compensation range for this role for US-based candidates. If you're based outside of the US, your recruiter will be able to provide you with an estimated salary range for your location.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location. H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that may include an equity grant.

An estimate of the current salary range for US-based employees is
$55,000$65,000 USD
