If so, HERE Technologies has the opening for you. We are currently hiring a Marketing and Communications Lead for Japan, based in our Yokohama office.
In this role, you will be responsible for all marketing and communications activities within the Japanese market. You will work closely with Sales leadership to drive specific plans and ensure best-practice alignment across the rest of APAC, while enabling local optimization and impact. As part of a matrixed organization, you will be interacting with numerous teams, including sales, strategic marketing, product marketing, partner marketing, digital marketing, corporate communications, and media relations, among others.

Your focus areas include meeting regional shared KPI’s with both the Global Marketing and Corporate Communications teams and Regional Sales Organization. Your function in this role is to manage programs that directly impact these shared KPI’s and incorporate and encourage key stakeholder feedback.
Your main responsibilities include :
- Developing and executing a robust sales lead generation strategy, that builds awareness, drives demand, creates and nurtures leads, and builds and accelerates pipeline while maintaining alignment to the coportate positioning and messaging.
- Maintaining a deep cross-functional partnership with the regional sales team, Lead Development team, Regional Partner Marketing and peer Regional Marketing Leads, and the broader global Marketing and Communications teams. Establishing clear communication, alignment, and trust with these groups will be critical to success.
- Enabling and managing localized marketing and communications plans including online and offline events and programs that increase awareness of HERE, generating quality pipeline, moving prospects and customers through the sales cycle, and building customer intimacy.
- Managing ABM (Account Based Marketing) programs for key target customers in the focus industries.
- Representing the larger Marketing and Communications team within the Japan market.
- Enabling and coordinating with the Global/Regional Communications and Industry Analyst Relations teams.
- Building the content strategy for the Japan market and working closely with local public relations and marketing agencies on its implementation.
- Measuring, analyzing, and reporting the impact and results of all Marketing and Communications activities and programs in Japan to stakeholders and the regional leadership team.
- Building the HERE brand and developing brand affinity to achieve a tangible lift in brand attributes among the target audience. Positioning HERE as a leader in the specific industry space through the deployment and management of Regional initiatives.
Who are you?
You are a strong candidate for this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, economics, business or related fields
- 10+ years of marketing and communications experience in a B2B organization
- Fluent in Japanese and English, ability to manage communication with customers/partners/agencies within Japan and collaborate with global cross-functional teams
- Experience in go-to-market planning and execution across multiple marketing and communications channels
- Experience working within a matrixed organization – both remote and on-site
- Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions based on data analytics
- Experience managing customer and industry events, including tradeshows and conferences
- Deep expertise and experience in B2B SaaS (or similar high volume, high velocity markets)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines and objectives
