What's the role?

In this role You will guide the team through the testing lifecycle, implementing best practices, and ensure the quality of in-scope tests. In addition you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for performance testing of mobile applications.
• Define best practices and standards for mobile performance testing.
• Create detailed performance test plans that outline objectives, scope, and criteria for success.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate application performance.
• Design performance test scenarios that mimic real-world usage patterns and peak load conditions.
• Create necessary test data for performance testing.
• Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and mobile-specific tools like Appium with performance plugins.
• Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies to improve the testing process.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to other SDETs and QA engineers.

Who are you?

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you possess the following skills, competencies, and work experience   

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in computer science
• 8 to 12  years’ of industry working experience including 5+ years in mobile apps testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation and scripting.
• Extensive experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, and mobile-specific tools.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android performance characteristics.
• Expertise in methodologies like load testing, stress testing, and capacity testing.
• Strong understanding of performance test design techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

In this role, you will be part of our innovative SDK QA team, which is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of HERE services through rigorous testing and automation of our Android and iOS applications. Your daily focus will be on developing robust test frameworks, automating test cases, and integrating them into our CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with developers to convert test plans into reality, ensuring that our mobile applications perform seamlessly
