As the Director of Customer Program Management- VW Group (Delivery Lead), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of our programs and services to our valued customer. You will be responsible for leading a Customer Program Management matrix organization including Program Managers, Technical Project Managers, System Engineers, Requirement Managers, Release & Configuration Managers, Customer specific validation & verification, Problem Resolution & Analysis and Quality & Safety and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest level of quality.

- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the customer program management delivery team, setting clear goals, expectations, and priorities. Mentor and develop team members to ensure their success and growth within the organization.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans for customer programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Program Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of customer programs, from initial planning through execution and closure. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as the primary point of contact for program delivery. Actively seek feedback to understand customer needs and expectations, and work proactively to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination across all aspects of program delivery. Foster a collaborative and cohesive working environment to drive successful outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards for program delivery, ensuring that deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms to track program performance and key metrics. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Who are you?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, information technology or similar field or an academic level of thinking, but also the ability to use that in a pragmatic way
- Experience in the automotive industry software and map development and the related knowledge about processes like root cause anaylsis with 8D report, change management, etc.
- 15+ years of experience in program management, project management or related field, with a proven track record of success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- 15+ years of experience in leadership or management roles, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in different roles to ease the interaction between the different verticals (e.g. product marketing, marketing, strategy, product management, besides program management and project management experience) is a plus.
- PMP or other relevant certifications is a plus.
